We are “Committed to Excellence”, and we work hard to make the site a primary source for timely information for all users, and a main gateway for improved communication between parents, teachers, students and other members of our community.

Our goal and responsibility is to help each student develop an enthusiasm for learning, a respect for self and others, and the skills to become a creative independent thinker and problem solver.

The Heart of Philadephia

Explore ICHS
24 Hours
ICHS is located in the heart of Philadelphia which provides great opportunities for learning outside the classroom. While in Philadelphia, you can visit sites of historic importance like the Liberty Bell, the Constitution Center, the US Mint, and Independence Hall where it all began.

Cultural Events

Philadelphia’s vibrant culture scene is sure to meet your expectations. Visit the Art Museum or enjoy a show in the theater district; take in a performance at the Pennsylvania Ballet or the Curtis Institute of Music; visit the various art installations around the city; enjoy various art galleries and dramatic performances for free on First Fridays.

Dual Enrollment

If you are focused on higher education or interested in dual-enrollment, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, Temple University, Penn State University, and Widener University are all within easy commuting distance.

Local Community

As a school we want to participate in our local community by creating opportunities for students to experience things outside the classroom. In the past we have attended the Walnut Street Theater, roamed through museums and visited the farms of Lancaster. Being located in the heart of Philadelphia has a lot to offer and we are always looking for new ways to use the city to benefit our students.
