Ms.Pods was born in South Carolina and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Cairn University with a B.S. in Biblical Studies and Concordia University, Irvine with a M.A. in International Studies.

She hosts a weekly tournament with her Mario Kart Club, where students compete and play Mario Kart 8 in her classroom.

Ms. Pod’s favorite part about her job is watching students become better readers. It brings her so much joy to see her students grow in their abilities to comprehend the stories they read in class.

Some fun facts about Ms.Pods is she loves spicy food, works some weekends at CLC Bookcenter (a Christian bookstore), and has traveled on missions trips to Romania, Hungary, Austria, Zambia, England, Hong Kong, the Philippines and more!

Ms.Pod’s favorite verse is Joshua 1: 9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
